New timetable will see more trains to Maple Grove
Are you a regular commuter into Central London? Good news, as travel links from Maple Grove will see an improvement this year.
Are you a regular commuter into Central London? Good news, as travel links from Maple Grove will see an improvement this year recognising the growing importance the desirable Borough of Sutton is making on the rest of the capital.
From 20th May 2018, Maple Grove residents will be able to access London with a more regular service via Hackbridge station, just a 10 minute walk away, resulting in six extra trains per hour from rail providers Southern and Thameslink. That could mean both a longer lie in and an earlier train home!
The announcement results in a successful resolution of a two-year consultation by local MP for Carshalton and Wallington, Tom Brake and rail operator Govia Thameslink Railway on changes to train timetables.
The ongoing activity is a demonstration of the increasing recognition the local area is enjoying as a property hot spot. With increasing public transport provisions due, this ensures that Maple Grove offers both a welcome retreat from the hustle of everyday life, coupled with excellent travel connectivity.
